The Downtown Jebel Ali project (DJA) is to be designed and constructed to serve as a flagship development and will primarily consist of commercial offices, residential, retail and associated amenities. The final exact land use for the development is determined by the Master Plan.
The overall development area is subdivided in 4 geographical zones (labeled as Zones 1 to 4) which are physically separated by road interchanges. The projected infrastructure will service the 4 separate zones, providing a road and internal transport network along with all utility services to sustain a good environment for the eventual population. The utility systems will include waste water treatment, electricity, potable water irrigation/fire water and chilled water (district cooling), with the option of providing a gas reticulation system.
Limitless L.L.C. the ‘Employer’ shall appoint its own personnel to act as Employer’s Representative; Bovis Lend Lease International shall act as Employer’s Representative’s Consultant in the capacity of Project Manager. Ove Arup Pty Ltd shall also act as the Employer’s Representative’s Consultant in the capacity of Engineer and Faithful & Gould shall also act as the Employer’s Representative’s Consultant in the capacity of Cost Consultant. All communications and issues of information shall be administered through the intranet facility, through BIW Technologies information channel.
